| Description | Have you ever heard a song in Irish (Gaelic) and wished you could understand what it was about, or even sing along? Come learn to actually speak the language, and sing it yourself. The Irish language is alive and well, though it has undergone a number of struggles in recent years. Learn about where to find it online, in print (including Harry Potter translated to Irish!), in music, in movies (also including Harry Potter), and in other places. You will also learn about related parts of Irish culture, such as music, dance, mythology, holidays, and other traditions. Specific topics of study will be selected by the students in the group. |
