| Description | This will be a most awesome course in which I will teach the art of photography and Lynn will teach all the newfangled technical aspect (that is, how to make your digital camera do what you want it to do). We will work on a different photographic theme every two weeks, such as people, nature, and objects. We will work on lighting and composition as well as cropping and editing your art work and go on at least two field trips: Walden Pond and The DeCordova Museum. If there is enough interest, we could plan a day to meet at Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester. Each participant will have an opportunity to discuss and/or prepare a presentation about their favorite photographer. I will be presenting the works of Lewis Hines. I also plan to bring in some of my photography and old 35 mm equipment just for fun. If we are able to find the appropriate information, it would be nice if our study group could submit some entries to The Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards. |
