Description %META:TOPICINFO{author="JeanneMarieFurnary" date="1210343558" format="1.0" version="1.7"}% FIRST Lego League is a program that combines learning about modern scientific technologies with robotics competitions. With a strong focus on team building, participants will create a project and presentation on this year's theme: global warming. They will also design and program a robot that will accomplish assigned tasks. We will participate in local robotics competitions. Programming and basic research skills will be taught.

This study group will require an extra 2-3 hour weeknight meeting which will be held on Thursday evenings, homework, and many Saturday meetings. Lego League is a major time commitment that promises much learning and fun.

A team of coaches have volunteered to lead this including Alice Anacheka-Nasemann, Ken Ishii, Marc Sinclair, Manoj Padki and Manisha Kher.
