Voyagers Homeschool Coop

Voyagers Coop offers days of study groups, Monday–Friday, for children aged toddlers to teens. Each semester our volunteer parents lead a rich array of topics that range from story time, crafts, and music; to robotics, languages, and calculus. Check out our current Fall 2011 pages for the full complement of stimulating educational options for Voyagers members.

Coop day descriptions:

  • Monday:
A full family program with many scheduled study groups for all ages. An hour and a half is set aside at lunch time for indoor and outdoor play opportunities, parent meetings, and/or special celebrations.

  • Tuesday:
Tuesday is an active, all-ages day. Study groups address a variety of learning styles and children are treated as individuals. We strive to build a community supportive of our diverse membership.

  • Wednesday:
Study groups on Wednesday have a balance of hands-on learning, academic study, and child-led activities. Although we have children of all ages, currently most children are in the 8-15 age range.

  • Thursday:
Thursday’s session is targeted at high school level or higher, with some study groups led by teens. Time is set aside to hang out and socialize with friends. Teen members are expected to participate in cleanup.

  • Friday:
Fridays we have a morning, two-hour 'mini-coop' for young children and children not yet ready for full-day coop. For more info on this program, click here.
