Registration and Add/Drop Policy

Registration paperwork must be filed with the Registrar by the published registration deadline prior to the start of each Coop session. As some study groups may be over-enrolled, only those families who have submitted their registration materials on time will be eligible for any over-enrollment lotteries (please see Study Group Over-Enrollment Policy). After the published registration deadline, study group registration will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis, until the end of the Add/Drop period (see below). Payment is due in accordance with the Payment and Refund Policy.

Except as permitted by the Single Study-Group Registration Policy or where it is explicitly stated on the current registration form, members may NOT register for Coop Day study groups which are offered outside of the Coop Day(s) for which their family is registered.

Please consider your study group registration choices carefully – changes add significant work for our members.

Study-Group Enrollment Changes

Before the Coop session begins:

  • After the registration period ends, any further changes to your study-group enrollment should be arranged ASAP directly with the Registrar.

After the Coop session begins:

  • The first two weeks of the Coop session are the Add/Drop period, during which any further requests to add or drop a study group must be made to the relevant Coop-Day Programmer.

  • Approval of a study group addition must be confirmed by both the instructor AND the relevant Coop-Day Programmer (who will inform the Registrar). All additions are subject to the Study Group Over-Enrollment Policy.

  • In consideration of students who may be on the waiting list to add a study group, any study group “drop” should be confirmed immediately with the instructor and relevant Coop Day Programmer.

Any changes in fees (additional payments or refunds) resulting from study-group enrollment changes will be handled in accordance with the Payment and Refund Policy. Please note that for outside instructor fees, the refund deadline is typically several weeks before the start of the term (see Payment and Refund Policy).
