Scholarship Policy
Scholarships are available to anyone in the Voyagers community. Awards will be based upon financial need and availability of scholarship funds, and will be determined by the Scholarship Committee (Treasurer Sherene Raisbeck, President Michele Evard, plus member-at-large Kim Lueders, appointed for 2011-2012).
In evaluating financial need and determining the size of any award, the Scholarship Committee will use Massachusetts income data published online at
http://www.MassResources.org.
The eligibility threshold for Voyagers Scholarships will be set at 75% of the Yearly State Median Income by Family Size. Threshold values are detailed in the following table (figures rounded to nearest dollar).
| Family Size | Monthly Income Threshold | Annual Income Threshold |
| 2 | $4,189 | $50,266 |
| 3 | $5,174 | $62,094 |
| 4 | $6,160 | $73,921 |
| 5 | $7,145 | $85,748 |
| 6 | $8,131 | $97,575 |

Please note: Meeting the eligibility limit will not guarantee an award!
Families with extenuating circumstances who do not meet the guidelines will be considered at the discretion of the committee.
To be considered, you must fill out
this application and provide verification of family income that is acceptable to the committee (pay stubs, copies of tax returns, etc.). If you are uncertain about this, please contact Voyagers Treasurer at
Scholarships@voyagersinc.org.
Every effort will be made to keep any scholarship requests, awards, or refusals strictly confidential.
