Coop-Day Wait List Procedure and Policy

Voyagers maintains a directory of Wait List Families. This Wait List is made up of Prospective Member Families, and Former Member Families, who want to register for the next available opening on their preferred Coop-Day. (For definitions of membership status terms, please refer to the Coop-Day Registration Priority Order Policy.) The Wait List is managed by the Wait List Coordinator, who can be contacted at waitlist@voyagersinc.org.

• Prospective Members must visit Voyagers before submitting a Wait List Form, preferably on the Coop-Day(s) they wish to register for. Former members are strongly encouraged to visit. Visits are arranged by contacting info@voyagersinc.org. If Voyagers is not in session, for example during Summer Break, other arrangements for visiting will be made.

• Prospective and Former Members must submit a completed Wait List Form before being added to the Wait List, indicating their preferred Coop Day(s). The date on which the form is received will become the Wait List Family’s Current Wait List Date.

• If a Wait List Family’s Coop-Day preference changes, they should contact the Wait List Coordinator at waitlist@voyagersinc.org. It is recommended that they visit the new Coop-Day, if possible.

• During each registration cycle, if there is space available for the next session, Wait List Families will be contacted in order of their Current Wait List date. At that time, the Wait List Families will be invited to register for their preferred Coop Day(s), or given the opportunity to register for different Coop Day(s), depending on availability.

• Once an invitation to register on a Coop Day is extended, the Wait List Family must respond within one week to the invitation.

• Refusal to accept a registration offer, or failure to respond to the offer, will result in a change in order on the Wait List: the Wait List Family’s Current Wait List Date will be updated to the date of refusal.

• Once a Wait List Family has accepted their Coop-Day(s) registration offer, they will complete the Family Registration process for the upcoming session in accordance with Voyagers policies and procedures.

The Registrar and BOD reserve the right to make exceptions to this policy to fit a specifically identified need (i.e., to facilitate a known high-demand study group and/or critical volunteer activity that in the opinion of the BOD cannot be met by the aforementioned policy).
