| Description | We’ll concentrate on basic conversational skills, proper pronunciation, and most importantly, fostering a lasting enthusiasm for learning a new language. Games, songs, and role playing will make the study group interactive and aid in memory. We’ll work on making our own study books during the course and (if I can get some help with this) possibly an audio aid. As no one can really learn a new language in an hour a week, I’ll provide weekly hints for participants to bring home to their families so they can share what they’ve learned and try to assimilate it into their daily lives. The goal here is to lay the groundwork for more serious study in Spanish language, literature, and culture at a later date. I would like a co-leader or assistant (could be an older child) with either some Spanish experience or a good ear. |
