| Description | A continuation of the fall study group, but also open to NEW students -- we will continue to explore the art and craft of weaving. Using the book Kids Weaving by Sarah Swett, and a variety of looms, kids can choose a project or invent their own. Projects could include notecards, treasure bags, shoelaces, belts, and scarves. Along the way we will discuss a little bit about the history of weaving and the geography of where our various weaving materials originated. This is a hands-on study group and the only requirement is patience and a willingness to keep trying. Participants should be willing and able to to sit and weave. We may also expand into knitting, crocheting, and any other handcrafts that participants would like to pursue (and for which we can find an "expert".) |
