| Description | We’ll read and listen to three of Shakespeare’s plays - The Tempest, Hamlet, and a third play to be determined. Members of the study group will be responsible for reading the plays at home, either alone or while they listen to an audio recording. Specific sections of the plays will need to be completed for each study group meeting, during which we will discuss the play, its history, and its performance over time. During the study group, we will also read some scenes aloud and listen to recordings together. There will be short writing assignments about each play. We may also study some of Shakespeare's sonnets. |
