| Description | Learn about something different every week. Each week we will explore a different topic. The topic of each week will be determined by a historical event, natural occurence, a famous person's birthday or an observance that is happening the day or week we are meeting. Activities and topics will vary in nature from artistic to literary and scientific. For example, last year we learned about Ancient Egypt to celebrate Carter's excavation of King Tut's tomb, baked cookies to celebrate National Cookie Day, learned about the autumnal equinox and learned about Antonie Van Leeuwenhoek's discoveries and played with microscopes to celebrate his birthday. |
